Join a premier engineering services organization in Dayton as a Digital Engineer supporting mission-critical defense and intelligence operations. This role leverages advanced MBSE methodologies and systems architecture to build high-impact digital engineering solutions. We are seeking a cleared professional to integrate complex software frameworks and drive operational effectiveness for federal initiatives.
About the role
As a Digital Engineer within our growing engineering services organization, you will be at the forefront of modernizing how the federal government and defense sectors approach complex system design. Based onsite in Dayton, Ohio, you will work within a high-stakes environment where your contributions directly influence advanced modeling, analytics, and simulation efforts. This position is designed for a technical professional who understands that the future of aerospace and defense lies in the seamless integration of data, software, and systems architecture.
Your primary focus will be the development and implementation of digital engineering solutions that support mission-critical intelligence operations. You will be tasked with bridging the gap between traditional engineering and modern digital frameworks, ensuring that every artifact produced is robust, scalable, and aligned with customer requirements. By collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will help design and maintain the model-based engineering artifacts that serve as the foundation for sophisticated system architectures.
The role requires a deep dive into the technical aspects of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will apply SysML and UML methodologies to model system behaviors, ensuring that the digital thread remains intact throughout the lifecycle of a project. This involves not just creating models, but also integrating various software tools and platforms to create a cohesive engineering environment. Your work will support the implementation of Digital Twin and Digital Thread initiatives, providing stakeholders with the high-fidelity data needed for informed decision-making.
Beyond the technical execution, you will serve as a vital collaborator and communicator. You will work alongside developers, fellow engineers, and government stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that meet rigorous standards. This includes producing comprehensive technical documentation and presenting engineering models to diverse audiences. Your ability to translate complex system requirements into functional digital models will be essential to the success of our defense-focused mission.
